The Indonesian National Police (INP) has shortlisted candidates for East Java Regional Police Chief and INP Chief Assistant for Human Resources, both currently vacant, INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Sandi Nugroho confirmed on Wednesday (12/2/2025).

The selection process has gone through the INPi’s High-Ranking Promotion Board, locally known as Wanjakti, with final decisions resting with INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

“The INP Chief already has the names, but we’ll wait for the official announcement,” Chief Sandi said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Once finalized, the INP will publicly disclose the chosen officers.

The INP Chief Assistant for Human Resources position was previously held by Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, who was promoted to Inspector General of Supervision. Meanwhile, Commissioner General Ahmad Dofiri has been appointed the INP Deputy Chief.

The East Java Police Chief post was vacated by Inspector General Imam Sugianto, who has been reassigned as the INP Chief of Police Operations.
