Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) said they are reviewing new information submitted by the family of Arya Daru Pangayunan, a junior diplomat whose death has drawn public scrutiny. 

INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko told reporters Monday (26/8/2025) that the details will first be examined before determining their relevance to the investigation.

“Any clues must be assessed to establish whether they are genuinely new findings, developments, or can comprehensively contribute to the initial investigation process,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

He added that the police  force “empathizes with the family” and is attentive to their concerns.

The family previously appealed to President Prabowo Subianto to order the police, military, and foreign ministry to clarify the cause of death. Their lawyer cited anomalies such as Arya’s still-active social media accounts and a mysterious envelope. 

The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police had earlier concluded no foul play, based on forensic and toxicology results.
