inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) stated that two people have been questioned regarding the acid attack on an activist from KontraS with the initials AY.

The investigation into this case was launched after the filing of Police Report Model A Number 222/III/2026/Satreskrim/Restro Central Jakarta/Polda Metro Jaya.

"The Central Jakarta Sub-regional Police, as part of a proactive measure, have issued a Police Report Model A. They have also requested an initial examination (Visum et Repertum) on the condition of the victim," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Inspector General Jhonny Eddizon Isir, during a press conference at INP Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday (3/13/2026).

Jhonny stated that the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police investigative team in this case is backed up by the Jakarta Regional Metro Police and INP Headquarters. Jhonny revealed that this case has also received attention from INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Jhonny confirmed that this case will be handled procedurally and professionally, based on scientific criminal investigation. The investigative team will strive to apprehend the perpetrator and uncover the motive behind the crime.

"We have collected various pieces of digital evidence, including CCTV footage, which is currently undergoing further analysis. We hope to identify the suspect soon," he said.
