Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Governor Pramono Anung has advised Jakarta residents to take proactive measures against rising temperatures following a heatwave forecast by the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG).
During a public address in North Jakarta on Sunday (15/3/2026), the said that while temperatures are expected to remain high for the next several days, public health facilities are fully prepared to assist those affected. The warning came as peak afternoon temperatures trigger concerns over heat-related illnesses among commuters and outdoor workers.
"BMKG predicts that for the next one to three days, the weather will be quite hot, including today," Governor Pramono said while encouraging citizens to utilize municipal health services, as reported by antaranews.com
Jakarta’s Health Office warned that prolonged exposure could lead to severe dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke, particularly for vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
Authorities recommend increasing water intake, wearing protective gear like hats or umbrellas, and limiting strenuous outdoor activities between 11 am and 3 pm to mitigate health risks.
