inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Department of Child Protection, Empowerment, and Population Control (PPAPP) is committed to increasing the number of Integrated Public Spaces for Children (RPTRA) in the capital.

"Jakarta already has 324 RPTRAs, and hopefully, this number will continue to grow because we want to bring more RPTRAs closer to the community," said Dwi Oktavia, Head of the Jakarta PPAPP Agency, Friday (4/24/2026).

As is known, RPTRAs in Jakarta have been available for the past 10 years and serve as activity venues for children, families, and the elderly.

Dwi stated that the presence of RPTRAs in the capital demonstrates the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to supporting community empowerment activities, welfare activities, and providing entertainment spaces for children and families.

"RPTRAs can also be comfortable spaces for family members to share stories, open up, and communicate. Providing safe, appropriate, and inclusive family play spaces in RPTRAs is also crucial for their continued development," said Dwi.

He also encouraged RPTRA managers to maximize the technology available in these public spaces to provide information resources for residents.

RPTRAs are green, open public spaces with indoor and outdoor facilities that serve as community centers and activities to support Jakarta's vision as a Child-Friendly City.

These locations also include a Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) laboratory for implementing the 10 PKK Core Programs and other flagship PKK programs.

Currently, there are 324 RPTRAs in Jakarta spread across 44 sub-districts and 173 urban villages. This number has exceeded the initial target of 267.

Of this total, 253 RPTRAs were built using the Jakarta Regional Budget (APBD), and 71 RPTRAs were built using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
