Inp.polri.go.id - Lumajang. Officers from the Jatiroto Police Office conducted community outreach patrols across Krajan Hamlet, Jatiroto Village, East Java, on Friday evening to educate local residents and small business owners on detecting counterfeit currency during commercial transactions.
During the dialogic patrol, officers engaged directly with community members to raise awareness about counterfeit money detection techniques while reinforcing general public order and crime prevention measures. They encouraged residents to carefully verify banknotes during cash exchanges and maintain vigilance over personal property to prevent theft.
Jatiroto Police Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Imam Soepardi said that field patrols serve as a key preventive mechanism to strengthen direct communication with the public and identify potential security threats early.
"We advise residents to remain vigilant, especially when receiving cash in transactions. If anyone discovers anything suspicious, report it immediately to the police," he said on Saturday (3/10/2026).
Jatiroto Police confirmed that community-focused preventive patrols and educational engagements will continue regularly across the district to preserve public safety and economic security in Lumajang Regency.
