Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Kebon Jeruk  Police Office have named a woman, identified as HZ, a suspect for allegedly mutilating her husband’s genitals out of jealousy, leading to his death weeks later. 

The assault occurred in North Sukabumi in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta on 20 July 20.25

“Suspect HZ became enraged after discovering chat messages on her husband’s phone and attacked him while he was asleep using a cutter knife,” said Kebon Jeruk Police Criminal Unit Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Ganda Sibarani after a case reconstruction on Tuesday (21/10/2025). “The victim was later found with his genitals severed and was treated at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital.”

Despite severe injuries, the victim managed to drive himself to a nearby clinic before being transferred to the Hospital, where he died 23 days later on 12 August 2025.

Police charged her under Article 354 of the Criminal Code for aggravated assault, carrying a maximum sentence of nine years. The reconstruction included 25 re-enacted scenes.
