inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested a drug kingpin in possession of 98 kilograms of methamphetamine in Bahari Village, North Jakarta.

BNN Village Director of Enforcement and Pursuit, Roy Hardi Siahaan, explained that the arrest took place on Wednesday (8/12/2026) at around 8:09 PM.

"We followed the suspect from Village Bahari all the way out to Mangga Besar, then arrested him at a beauty salon, and he is now in BNN custody," said Roy at a press conference in Jakarta on Thursday (8/13/2026).

He stated that the drug lord who was arrested with 98 kg of methamphetamine was a fugitive in connection with a November 7, 2025, drug case under the name MR, or "Fat Boss ."

He revealed that in addition to the 98 kg of methamphetamine, firearms, gold bars, a katana, bullets, and other evidence were also confiscated from MR.

Roy said his team had also arrested two loyalists near the crime scene.

He explained that the two loyalists initially resisted, resulting in a member of the Indonesian National Police (INP) suffering a wound under the eye.

Roy also admitted that he was unaware of the connection between the two loyalists and the "Fat Boss," and this will be further investigated.

However, following the arrest of the two loyalists near the crime scene, BNN also secured evidence of a Vespa motorcycle and a car.

The confiscation of these items of evidence took place on Thursday (8/13/2026) at around 6:00 a.m. The case also includes the development of a money laundering (TPPU) case involving IDR 39.5 billion and IDR 1.27 billion in cash.
