inp.polri.go.id - Bandar Lampung. The Lampung Regional Police destroyed narcotics evidence worth Rp 264.9 billion from the uncovering of 29 cases involving 35 suspects between January and July 2026.
Lampung Regional Police Chief Inspector General Helfi Assegaf stated that the destroyed evidence had been determined by the District Attorney's Offices of Bandar Lampung, South Lampung, and Tanggamus.
"Today we are carrying out the destruction of narcotics from the uncovering of 29 cases involving a total of 35 suspects," he said at Lampung Regional Police Headquarters on Wednesday (7/29/2026).
The destroyed evidence included 119.1 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 58.2 kilograms of marijuana, 35,166 ecstasy pills, 19,996 Happy Five pills, 4,484 packages of etomidate, and 2,500 grams of liquid etomidate.
According to Helfi, these findings are estimated to have saved approximately 829,264 lives from potential drug abuse.
He emphasized that narcotics remain a serious threat to the younger generation, and the police will not allow illicit drug trafficking in the Lampung region.
Helfi stated that Lampung's geographical position as a gateway to the islands of Sumatra and Java makes it vulnerable to being exploited as a drug trafficking route.
The Lampung Regional Police Chief emphasized that they are committed to supporting the President's Asta Cita, particularly through strengthening law enforcement and preventing and eradicating narcotics.
