Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck off the coast of North Sulawesi at 2/16 pm on Saturday afternoon (13/6/2026), the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency reported.
The epicenter was located at coordinates 5.75° North Latitude and 124.96° East Longitude, placing the seismic activity roughly 244 kilometers northwest of Tahuna in the Sangihe Islands Regency. According to BMKG data, the earthquake originated from a deeper hypocenter depth of 106 kilometers below the seabed.
"This preliminary information prioritizes delivery speed, so data processing results are not yet entirely stable and may change as more comprehensive findings are gathered," the agency said via its official social media release.
No immediate damage or casualties were reported, and authorities have not issued a tsunami warning following the mid-day tremor.
