Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The digital health platform Halodoc reported a significant 27 percent increase in mental health complaints during the third week of Ramadan compared to the pre-fasting period, highlighting a shift from physical health issues common in the early fasting month to psychological concerns as the holiday season approaches.

“The peak occurred in the third week, with anxiety triggers largely attributed to family pressures, accounting for 58 percent of cases, including expectations regarding marriage, children, and economic status discussed during Jakarta's 'Halodoc Talks' on Tuesday,” said HaloDocChief Marketing Officer Fibriyani Elastria on Tuesday (10/3/2026).

The reported symptoms include sleep disturbances, excessive anxiety, heart palpitations, and shortness of breath, often exacerbated by accumulated fatigue and social pressures. Medical experts noted that such stress elevates cortisol levels, which can subsequently trigger digestive issues like increased stomach acid production.

To mitigate these risks, health practitioners encourage the use of digital screening tools and early consultation with specialists. Recognizing these symptoms early is considered vital for maintaining overall well-being during the transition to the year-end festivities.
