Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Deputy Chief Dekananto Eko Purwono was officially promoted to two-star rank as Inspector General of Police during a promotion ceremony in Jakarta on Wednesday (2/9/2026).

The promotion was formalized under Presidential Decree No. 82/POLRI/TAHUN 2026, issued on September 1, 2026. Alongside Chief Dekananto, several key Metro Jaya Police officials were promoted to Brigadier General rank, including Inspectorate Head Sri Satyatama, Operations Head Laode Aries El Fathar, and Planning Head Teguh Tri Sasongko.

"This rank promotion is part of career development and organizational dynamics within the Indonesian National Police," said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto. "It represents a responsibility to serve professionally with integrity."

He confirmed that all promoted officers will retain their current leadership roles at Metro Jaya Police while focusing on enhancing public service, protection, and organizational solidarity.
