Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police are analyzing footage from 86 surveillance cameras to identify the perpetrators behind a acid attack on KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus.
During a press conference Monday (16/3/2026), investigators revealed they had secured over 10,000 minutes of video from traffic cameras, municipal systems, and private residences. Preliminary digital analysis suggests that four suspects on two motorcycles began stalking the activist from Central Jakarta before carrying out the assault last Thursday night in the Salemba area.
"We have identified 86 surveillance points used to track where these alleged perpetrators departed from and returned to," said Director of General Criminal Investigation Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin, as cited by antaranews.com.
Police confirmed that high-resolution footage captured at the crime scene has provided clear images of the suspects, which are now being processed using scientific crime investigation techniques.
