Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police distributed 200 essential food packages to online motorcycle taxi drivers in Jakarta as part of its regular Friday Blessing (Jumat Berkah) community outreach program on Friday (2/10/2026).

Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto said that the social initiative serves to share blessings while strengthening ties with drivers who navigate heavy urban traffic daily to keep the capital moving.

"Online taxi drivers work on the roads every day and support public mobility. Through Jumat Berkah, we want to share while maintaining strong ties with our ojol friends," he explained.

Beyond handing out basic food supplies, officers expressed institutional appreciation for the drivers' role in supporting daily transportation across Greater Jakarta. 

Police representatives also used the gathering to encourage drivers to prioritize road safety and observe traffic regulations to maintain regional order and safety. Online driver representatives welcomed the initiative, saying that the Metro Jaya Police has been consistently engaging transportation workers.
