Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police harvested 82 kilograms of pakchoi to support the government's Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative. The produce will serve as raw ingredients at the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) kitchen in Palmerah, West Jakarta.
Metro Jaya Police Inspector Senior Superintendent Sri Satyatama explained that the harvest forms part of an independently managed supply chain ecosystem for the police-operated SPPG unit kitchen.
"We are strengthening food security through the utilization of the SPPG Polri Palmerah Hydroponic Greenhouse," he said, adding that the effort ensures fresh, safe, and quality food ingredients for MBG operations.
Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto highlighted that the hydroponic greenhouse demonstrates the police's commitment to prioritizing national food security goals. By building an integrated supply chain system, from cultivation to immediate utilization at the SPPG kitchen, the police ensure consistent quality and long-term sustainability for community nutrition programs.
