Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police identified two key suspects on Wednesday (18/3/2026) linked to the chemical acid attack against human rights advocate Andrie Yunus.
"We can currently inform you that the two suspects identified from police data are an individual with the initials BHC and another with the initials MAK," said Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin, the Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Jaya Police, as reported by antaranews.com.
The police justified the expanded investigation by noting that evidence from 15 witnesses and 86 surveillance cameras suggests the involvement of more than four perpetrators. To accelerate the manhunt, Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo confirmed that investigators are utilizing scientific crime analysis to reconstruct the suspects' escape route.
President Prabowo Subianto has personally mandated a thorough investigation into the assault on the KontraS Deputy Coordinator. Authorities have established a dedicated hotline, urging the public to report any information regarding the suspects' movements to ensure the case is resolved transparently.
