Inp.polri.go.id - Depok. In celebration of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police inaugurated a clean water facility and distributed social aid for residents of Kampung Parung Tengah, Bojongsari, Depok, on Wednesday (24/6/2026).
Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto saod that clean water is a basic need directly tied to health and welfare.
“We hope this facility helps meet residents’ needs and supports better sanitation and community health,” he said.
The facility was built to serve residents of RW 03 and RW 04 neighborhood units, who had long faced limited access to clean water. With the new infrastructure, around 815 residents can now benefit from improved water supply for households, schools, places of worship, and public facilities.
The project involved drilling wells, installing pumps, building a water tower, and setting up distribution networks with public taps.
Chief Budi encouraged residents to maintain and use the facility responsibly, highlighting that its benefits are intended for the wider community.
