Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police released two facial sketches of male suspects involved in a fatal mob assault that caused the death of Bambang Setiawan during riots in Pejompongan, Central Jakarta, on 27 August 2026.

Police generated the sketches by cross-referencing witness testimony with CCTV footage analysis. Both suspects are estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old with brown skin, with one having an oval face and thin eyebrows, and the other featuring a square face with a mustache and beard.

"Based on witness statements and digital evidence, investigators compiled these facial sketches," Metro Jaya Police Director of General Crimes Investigation Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin said on Wednesday (2/9/2026). "We are currently pursuing the suspects responsible for this fatal assault."

Bambang was evacuated to Mintohardjo Naval Hospital after being found unconscious, but medical personnel later declared him dead. Investigators continue to pursue the suspects and examine the broader riot circumstances.
