Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Djamari Chaniago, said that the Indonesian National Police (INP) must remain an institution loved by the people.
Speaking to 1,064 cadets at the Police Academy (Akpol) in Semarang on Friday, the Minister stressed that service to the nation must transcend ranks and titles.
"Ranks have their time, and positions have their periods, but service to the nation must last a lifetime," Minister Djamari said in a statement on Saturday (9/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
He reminded future officers that being protectors of the community should not merely be a slogan but a principle applied in daily duty. He urged cadets to lead by example, maintaining closeness with their subordinates and integrity in their conduct.
The Minister also highlighted the challenge of serving in Indonesia's diverse regions, encouraging cadets to adapt to various local cultures.
