Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Trade  Budi Santoso announced on Monday (8/6/2026) that Minyakita, the government’s cooking oil brand, will no longer be included in food aid programs. 

Instead, all supplies will be directed to public markets to ensure easier access for consumers.

“There is no more Minyakita for food aid. All will be distributed to public markets so people can obtain it easily,” said Minister Budi.

The Ministry of Trade is coordinating with producers, state logistics company Bulog, and food state-owned enterprise holding ID Food to secure smooth distribution. Minister Budi said Minyakita is not a subsidized product but part of the domestic market obligation scheme requiring businesses to supply the local market.

Future food aid programs will adapt to market conditions, absorbing commodities when prices fall, such as eggs or chicken, and aligning with the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program to stabilize producer prices.
