inp.polri.go.id - Karo. The North Sumatra Regional Police's Mobile Brigade Unit continues to demonstrate its concern for communities affected by the eruption of Mount Sinabung. Personnel assigned to the Tanah Karo Sub-regional Police sprayed waters to wash away the volcanic ash along Lau Kawar Road, Simpang Empat District, Karo Regency, on Wednesday (9/2/2026).

Using an Armored Water Cannon (AWC), personnel sprayed the road sections covered by the volcanic ash. This was to help reduce dust and ash that could potentially disrupt activities and the comfort of people passing through the area.

This activity showed that the presence of security personnel are not only focused on security but also manifested through concrete actions to help communities cope with the impact of the disaster. Clearing the ash and dust is one effort to create a more comfortable environment and help minimize the impact of volcanic ash on community activities.

The Commander of the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Senior Superintendent M. Rendra Salipu, stated that the North Sumatra Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit would continue to be present and mobilize to assist communities affected by the disaster.

"The presence of the Mobile Brigade Unit in the community is a manifestation of our dedication and concern. In disaster situations, we are committed to continuing to provide assistance and taking steps to help communities mitigate the impact," said Rendra Salipu.
