inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has deployed a Mobile Crisis Rescue (MCR) team in the Jamarat area of Mina, Saudi Arabia, to provide first aid, emergency evacuations, and help ease the crowding of pilgrims during the stoning of the devil on the day of Tashreeq.

"The MCR is a special team and post operated by Hajj Organizing Officers stationed in the Jamarat area of Mina. This team is tasked with providing first aid, conducting emergency evacuations, and helping ease the crowding of pilgrims during the peak of the Hajj," explained Ministry of Hajj Spokesperson Maria Assegaff on Friday (5/29/2026).

Mary explained that the MCR posts are located at strategic points in the Jamarat area and along pilgrim routes. This allows officers to directly monitor the situation, respond quickly to emergencies, and provide assistance to pilgrims in need of immediate assistance.

The presence of the MCR is part of the Ministry of Hajj's efforts to ensure that every situation on the ground can be handled quickly and appropriately. This aligns with the government's commitment to providing a safe, orderly, elderly-friendly, disability-friendly, and women-friendly Hajj.

"Protection of pilgrims is a priority. Therefore, our officers are not only present in pilgrim tents, but are also stationed at movement routes, monitoring posts, and points with potential for congestion. Any pilgrim who needs assistance must be handled immediately," explained Maria.

Since 11 Dzulhijjah 1447 Hijri, Indonesian pilgrims have begun performing the three pilgrimages: Ula, Wustha, and Aqabah.

The Ministry of Hajj urges pilgrims to follow the pilgrimage schedule set for each group and not to perform it outside the official schedule.
