inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, accompanied Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka on a working visit to the Amfoang area, Kupang Regency, on Friday (5/22/2026). 

The visit focused on reviewing the condition of infrastructure that provides vital access for residents in the border area.

The visit took place in Hamlet III, Manubelon Village, Southwest Amfoang District. The Vice President and his entourage directly inspected the Termanu Bridge and Kapsali River, which have long been vital routes for community activities, particularly for economic mobility and local transportation access.

The Head of Public Relations for the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, stated that the presence of the NTT Regional Police Chief and members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum was a form of support for the accelerated development program in the border region. 

"The NTT Regional Police Chief ensured that the entire working visit of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia proceeded safely, orderly, and conducively. The government's presence in Amfoang is a clear demonstration of the state's concern for the border communities," he said.

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his entourage arrived by helicopter at the Bet'el Oelamopu Church Field at around 1:27 p.m. and were warmly welcomed by the community through a traditional Amfoang dance. 

After inspecting the infrastructure, the Vice President also engaged in dialogue with the community and students regarding development needs in the area, including plans to build a bridge and other supporting facilities.
