inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Criminal Investigation Agency arrested the owner and manager of an entertainment venue with the initials WR in South Jakarta in connection with an alleged drug trafficking case.
The Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the owner of WR, identified as AK, and the manager as YLT, were arrested.
"Based on the results of the examination of the suspected employees, information was obtained indicating the involvement of management. YLT, as the operational manager, was responsible for approving orders for narcotics from guests through waiters/servers," he said on Wednesday (3/25/2026).
Furthermore, he continued, it was discovered that the drug trafficking practice was carried out with the knowledge and approval of AK, the Director of WR, who also provided security for the activity.
Following up on this information, a police team was deployed to conduct further investigations and pursued the two.
On Wednesday (3/18/2026) at around 4:45 PM, the team successfully apprehended YLT in Bekasi. On the same day, around 10:30 PM, AK was apprehended in South Tangerang.
Based on the interrogation of suspect YLT, the Operations Manager of WR, it was revealed that he had been aware of the drug trafficking at the discotheque since late November 2025.
"Suspect YLT also admitted that suspect RE, the WR supervisor, always confirmed with suspect YLT when guests wanted to order and purchase narcotics," he said.
Meanwhile, the interrogation of suspect AK, the owner of WR, revealed that he admitted to drug trafficking at WR since 2024.
Furthermore, AK also admitted that he deliberately allowed the drug trafficking at WR to continue to attract customers.
Eko said that the next step would be to further investigate the two suspects and expand the narcotics distribution network involved.
