inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police arrested two Liberian foreign nationals in connection with an alleged "Black Dollar" fraud scheme. Both suspects are currently under investigation.
Head of the Public Relations Sub-Division of the Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Andaru Rahutomo, stated that the two were arrested at an apartment in the Meruya area of West Jakarta on March 18, 2026.
"Yes, two Liberian nationals were arrested for the Black Dollar fraud scheme," he explained on Thursday (3/26/2026).
He identified the suspects as I and SDT. However, he admitted he could not yet detail their respective roles.
"During the arrest, evidence was confiscated in the form of a suitcase suspected of containing counterfeit money," he said.
