inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The public order and security situation during Eid al-Fitr holiday season in East Kalimantan remains safe and conducive. This shows the successful Operation Ketupat Mahakam 2026 held by the East Kalimantan Regional Police.
"Operation Ketupat Mahakam will continue until the Eid al-Fitr holiday ends. The police ensure that the public order and security situation in East Kalimantan remains safe and conducive," said the Head of Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Yulianto, Wednesday (3/25/2026).
To support security, the police have increased intensive patrols, especially in vulnerable areas and residential areas abandoned by people during their homecoming period. Vehicle storage services are also provided to provide a sense of security for the public.
Yulianto added that several strategic locations are under surveillance, including ports, airports, tourist destinations, places of worship, shopping centers, healthcare facilities, and other vital objects.
These security efforts have been strengthened by the establishment of dozens of posts in various strategic locations, consisting of 52 security posts, 22 service posts, and 14 integrated posts spread across the East Kalimantan jurisdiction.
A total of 1,975 joint personnel have been deployed to ensure the safe running of all community activities. These personnel remain on standby to anticipate potential security disturbances during the Eid holiday period.
“This measure is part of our ongoing efforts to maintain public order and security," concluded the Head of Public Relations.
