Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Joint police forces comprising Yahukimo Sub-regional Police, Damai Cartenz Task Force, and Papua Regional Police Mobile Brigade evacuated the bodies of two illegal gold miners shot dead by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Bingki, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

Papua Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Cahyo Sukarnito said Friday  (26/9/2025)the victims were identified as Desen Dominggus and Marselinus Manek, whose remains have been transferred to RSUD Dekai Regional Hospital.

Three other miners, identified as Roberto, Yunus, and Unu, were also killed but their bodies remain at Kali I, a location farther from Bingki. Evacuation efforts are scheduled for Saturday.

The attacks were carried out by the KKB led by Kopitua Heluka, who shot two miners in Bingki on Sunday and three more the following day at Kali I.
