inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Riau Islands Regional Police also held the Affordable Food Movement (GPM), which was implemented simultaneously nationwide.
This activity demonstrates the collaboration between the Indonesian National Police (INP), the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) and relevant ministries to maintain price stability and food availability ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The President Director of Perum Bulog expressed his appreciation to INP for their support of the government's program to maintain national food stability and availability.
He explained that this GPM is the second such initiative held in collaboration with the National Police, following the previous one in 2025.
"This program is expected to provide a stimulus to the public, help stabilize food prices, and ease the burden on people in meeting basic needs ahead of Eid al-Fitr," he said on Friday (3/13/2026).
According to him, the current national rice stock is very secure. Currently, the national rice stock stands at around 3.9 million tons and is expected to increase to more than 4.2 million tons by the end of March 2026.
"This figure is the highest stock level in the history of Indonesian independence for the month of March," he said.
In addition to rice, Bulog also ensures the availability of other food commodities such as cooking oil under the Minyakita program, sugar, and various other basic necessities distributed throughout Indonesia.
