inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. The implementation of Operation Ketupat Turangga 2026 within the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police area also focuses on securing the homecoming and return flow of passengers at El Tari Kupang Airport.
The Integrated Post established at the airport is a key point in ensuring smooth public mobility during the Eid al-Fitr period. As reported by TBN NTT, Saturday (3/14/2026), the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri/2026 Transportation Post at the airport will operate for 18 days.
During this operational period, El Tari Kupang International Airport is expected to serve tens of thousands of passengers. Airport management projects that the number of passengers served during this year's Eid al-Fitr transportation period will reach approximately 53,763.
This estimate was compiled taking into account passenger movement trends during the Eid al-Fitr season in previous years.
El Tari Kupang Airport General Manager, Teguh Darmawan Saiman, explained that a surge in passenger numbers is predicted to occur several days before and after Eid al-Fitr.
According to him, the peak of the homecoming flow is expected to occur on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, or three days before Eid al-Fitr, with approximately 3,450 passengers.
Meanwhile, the peak of the return flow is predicted to occur on Saturday, March 28, 2026, or six days after Eid al-Fitr, with an estimated number of passengers reaching approximately 3,819.
To support smooth operations during this period, the airport is also implementing various supervisory measures, including airport pass sweeps, electrical installation checks, and ramp checks to ensure operational vehicles in the airport area are in good condition and safe for use.
