inp.polri.go.id - East Kalimantan. In an effort to help the public to get their food supplies at affordable prices during Ramadan, the East Kalimantan Regional Police's Directorate of Special Crimes held the Affordable Food Movement for the Community at the South Balikpapan on Thursday (3/19/2026).
This program aims to maintain price stability and ensure the availability of staple foods amidst increasing public demand.
The program presents various food ingredients at lower prices than market prices, such as premium rice, SPHP rice, cooking oil, sugar, chicken eggs, chicken meat, 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, and garlic.
Senior Superintendent Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, stated that this program demonstrates police presence in the community.
"Through this activity, we want to help people obtain basic necessities at affordable prices while maintaining price stability in the market," he said.
He added that this activity is also a preventative measure to prevent hoarding and price speculation.
"We hope this program can ease the burden on the community and maintain economic stability ahead of Eid al-Fitr," he concluded.
