inp.polri.go.id - West Java. Hundreds of Cimahi residents flocked to the Cimahi Sub-regional Police Headquarters to get food supply at affordable prices during the Affordable Food Movement (Garungan Pangan Murah) held on Monday (8/10/2026).

This strategic activity was attended and led by the Head of the Community Development Coordination Corps, Inspector General Mardiyono, accompanied by members of the West Java Regional Police and the Cimahi Sub-regional Police. The activity demonstrates police's commitment to ensuring the availability and affordability of food commodities for the community.

As part of the movement, the Cimahi Sub-regional Police distributed at least 5 tons of rice and hundreds of liters of MinyakKita cooking oil, sold below market prices. In addition to providing staple foods, the activity also engaged local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Cimahi to showcase and market their products.

The presence of these MSME products provides a positive collaborative space to stimulate the regional economy and directly introduce local products to the public.

"The public response and enthusiasm are amazing. Through the distribution of rice and MinyakKita, we hope that people's daily needs can be met and their purchasing power maintained," said Mardiyono.

Recognizing the significant benefits of this program for residents, Mardiyono emphasized that similar programs will continue to be regularly implemented across West Java.

This preventative measure was taken to anticipate the risk of raw material shortages and maintain stable food prices in the market, so that the people of Cimahi City and the surrounding areas can always access basic necessities easily, equitably, and affordably.
