inp.polri.go.id - Jembrana. The Traffic Corps reported that long queues of vehicles heading to Gilimanuk Port in Bali remain. The heavy flow of vehicles attempting to cross to Java has congested the route to the port.

The Director of Law Enforcement of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Faizal, stated that the long queues were caused by the high number of vehicles waiting to board the ferry to Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi. 

He explained that the congestion was not caused by traffic disruptions on the road, but rather by the process of vehicles queuing to board the ferry.

"The problem is the ferry crossing. They're queuing, waiting for the ferry to cross," explained Faizal on Monday (3/16/2026).

According to the latest data, the queues of vehicles heading to Gilimanuk Port are still very long from both directions.

The Head of Public Relations for the Bali Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, added that the queues of vehicles from Denpasar have even reached Melaya Village.

"The tail of the queue stretches from Denpasar to the Persil Bridge in Melaya Village, Melaya District, a distance of approximately 18 km, while from Singaraja to the Cekik Forest, a distance of approximately 6 km from Gilimanuk Harbor," said Ariasandy.
