On this occasion, the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that the pecalang and the online motorcycle taxi community are strategic partners of the police, playing a crucial role in helping maintain public order and security.
According to Sigit, increasingly dynamic security challenges demand stronger synergy between the police and all elements of society.
For the Balinese people, the pecalang are not merely a traditional security tool, but also a representation of local wisdom that maintains harmony in community life.
With a strong understanding of the customs, culture, and character of their region, the pecalang play a vital role in building a sense of security and maintaining social balance within a diverse society.
On the other hand, the online motorcycle taxi community is highly mobile and interacts directly with communities across various regions. This position makes the online motorcycle taxi community a strategic partner in supporting early detection of potential security disturbances, while also acting as an information hub, strengthening the police's rapid response in the field.
