"During the operation, a man with the initials J (24) was apprehended, along with evidence in the form of four packages of marijuana packed in brown boxes and stored in cardboard boxes lined with bubble wrap," said Head of Unit 2, Sub-Directorate 2, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate.

He explained that the case stemmed from public information regarding suspected narcotics transactions on Tomang street, Jatipulo, Palmerah District, West Jakarta.

Following up on this information, the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate's Operational Team immediately conducted an investigation and ultimately apprehended the perpetrator.

"During the search, police found a cardboard box covered in black bubble wrap containing four packages of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, weighing approximately 971 grams, 1,016 grams, 993 grams, and 1,016 grams, respectively," Tri said.

The total amount of evidence seized was approximately four kilograms. Police also confiscated a cell phone suspected of being used in drug trafficking.

"We have taken the suspect and the evidence to the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Narcotics Directorate for further investigation," he concluded.
