inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Crimes for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) and Crimes for Human Trafficking (PPO) at the Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed that the alleged ignorance of child abuse against NS by her stepmother is still being investigated.
This toleration is suspected to have been carried out by the victim's biological father.
"We are currently investigating through the West Java Regional Police," said Brigadier General Nurul Azizah, Director of PPA PPO Directorate of INP, Tuesday (3/3/2026).
She explained that since the beginning of this case, the police have provided assistance to expedite the investigation process.
Nurul added that if the police found any indication of ignorance, legal action can be taken against the victim's father. The toleration itself was revealed in a message from the victim's father to NS's biological mother.
"That's right, based on both the Criminal Code and the Child Protection Law (criminal charges are possible)," she explained.
