inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Female police officers from the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police have intensified foot patrols during the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran (PRJ) exhibition, which took place from June 11 to July 12, 2026, to ensure a sense of security and comfort for visitors.

Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, stated that the presence of female police officers is part of a preventative measure to anticipate disturbances to public order and security, while also bringing police services closer to the community.

"We have deployed personnel, including female police officers, to be present among the community to ensure visitors feel safe and comfortable while enjoying the Jakarta Fair," said Reynold on Monday (7/13/2026).

He explained that the patrols were led by Police Assistant Superintendent Zulfah and the Jakarta Policewomen Guard Team from the Kemayoran and Johar Baru Sector Police, who visited several crowded areas in the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran area.

During the patrols, officers urged the public to remain vigilant with their belongings, supervise children in crowded areas, and report immediately to officers if they needed assistance.

In addition to providing public order and security education, the policewomen also provided information to visitors who needed directions or other assistance while in the exhibition area.

"The presence of officers in the field also aims to provide services, education, and anticipate potential criminal acts and other public order disturbances," said Reynold.

According to him, the humane approach through dialogue patrols is expected to increase the public's sense of security and prevent potential crimes such as pickpocketing and other security disturbances in crowded areas.

"We urge the public to always safeguard their valuables, supervise children, and not hesitate to ask officers for assistance if they need help," concluded Reynold
