inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police have again uncovered the circulation of illegal hard drugs, prescripted drugs, and psychotropics in the Kalideres area of West Jakarta, arresting two suspects, identified as JA and SM, at two different locations used for selling illegal hard drugs.

Kalideres Sector Police Chief, Police Assistant Superintendent Rihold Sihotang, explained that the case stemmed from public information about the open sale of hard drugs under the guise of a coffee shop and a cosmetics store.

"The perpetrators' modus operandi was to sell daily necessities, but behind the scenes, they were also illegally selling hard drugs," said Rihold when confirmed in Jakarta on Friday (7/24/2026).

Based on the investigation, police conducted raids at two different locations. The first was in Semanan Village on July 13, 2026, and the second was in Kamal Village on July 20, 2026.

"From these two locations, we successfully secured suspects JA and SM along with several pieces of evidence," said Rihold.

At the first location, officers confiscated 75 Hexymer pills, 19 Tramadol pills, 6 Riklona pills, 6 Alprazolam pills, and IDR 230,000 in cash.

At the second location, police found a much larger amount of evidence: 1,790 Hexymer pills, 918 Tramadol pills, IDR 1,037,000 in cash, a transaction log, and a mobile phone suspected of being used to support the sales activities.

Based on the investigation, the two suspects were not pharmacists and did not have the authority or permit from the Food and Drug Authority (BPOM) to distribute prescription drugs. However, they sold the drugs freely to the public without a doctor's prescription.

"These drugs are extremely dangerous if misused. They can cause hallucinations and have the potential to damage the future of children and adolescents. Therefore, we will take firm action against anyone who attempts to distribute them," said Rihold.

As the case develops, investigators have also named two individuals on the Wanted Persons List (DPO): AS, the alleged supplier in the first case, and BN, the supplier and shop owner in the second case. Both are currently being pursued by police.

Rihold stated that the Kalideres Sector Police are committed to eradicating the distribution of illegal prescription drugs in their jurisdiction, as directed by their superiors.

According to him, these efforts are being made to protect the public, especially the younger generation, from the dangers of drug abuse, which can damage health, lead to dependency, and potentially become a gateway to other crimes.

He also invited the public to play an active role in combating the distribution of illegal hard drugs by reporting any information they know through the Police Service 110 or directly to police officers in their area.
