Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto and visiting Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein reaffirmed both nations’ unwavering commitment to supporting Palestinian independence during a state banquet in Jakarta on Friday night (14/11/2025).

“Our relationship is rooted in deep brotherhood and enduring solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for independence,” President Prabowo said, highlighting more than seven decades of close ties between Indonesia and the Hashemite Kingdom.

President Prabowo also spoke personally, recalling Jordan’s support during one of the most difficult periods in his life 25–26 years ago. 

“I have a special emotional bond with the Hashemite Kingdom… I felt true friendship and togetherness from His Majesty,” he said, noting that his personal ties with King Abdullah II and the late King Hussein strengthened today’s strategic cooperation.

Both leaders affirmed that Indonesia and Jordan stand not merely as diplomatic partners but as countries bound by shared moral and political commitments. Prabowo expressed hope the partnership will continue contributing to global peace, including diplomatic efforts for Palestine, according to antares.com.
