Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto enacted three pivotal regulations on Friday (17/4/2026) to strengthen national food security, establishing a legal framework to achieve total self-sufficiency through infrastructure development and cross-sectoral collaboration in Jakarta.

To strengthen national food security, the government issued the Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 14/2026. to provide robust post-harvest infrastructure across Indonesia to reduce warehouse dependency and maintain price stability.

The legislative package includes Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 2/2026, which orders the Ministry of Agriculture and state-owned enterprises like Perum Bulog to integrate domestic production and distribution. Furthermore, Inpres No. 3/2026 focuses on domestic corn procurement and government reserve management through 2029 to bolster farmers' welfare and ensure national stock availability.

These directives mandate the military and police to support food distribution while streamlining licensing and land provision. By synchronizing central and regional governments, the administration aims to resolve technical barriers and eliminate reliance on foreign imports
