Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto summoned Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto and Indonesian National Police(INP)  Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to report on forest and land fire (karhutla) control efforts in Sumatra and Kalimantan during a limited meeting in Hambalang, West Java, on Tuesday, (1/9/2026).

Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya confirmed that the meeting focused on national security conditions and integrated fire suppression efforts to prevent hotspots from spreading.

"The government continues to strengthen coordination to ensure swift and unified handling while anticipating the expansion of fire hotspots," he said.

The high-level session was attended by key cabinet members and security leaders, including Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Deputy INP Chief General Dedi Prasetyo, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Chief M. Herindra. Discussions also covered housing development initiatives and national honor awards.
