Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the cabinet to implement fuel conservation measures and evaluate "Work From Home" (WFH) policies to mitigate the domestic impact of escalating Middle East conflicts.

"We must take proactive steps by saving fuel consumption, as we cannot assume we are safe despite current stability while making no effort to reduce our energy usage," President Prabowo said during a Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace on Friday (13/3/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The administration is considering reinstating remote work protocols for civil servants to reduce logistical costs and traffic congestion, drawing on successful efficiency models used during the pandemic. This strategic shift is expected to safeguard the national fiscal posture and maintain a balanced state budget against surging global energy prices.

President Prabowo also criticized observers who fuel public anxiety, urging national unity over pessimistic rhetoric during global uncertainty. He emphasized that the government is utilizing intelligence data to curb corruption and budget leakages through integrated GovTech synchronization.
