inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo urged the public to utilize the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow.
This was conveyed when officially opening the national one-way traffic engineering for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT), Central Java, on Tuesday (3/24/2026).
General Sigit explained that the WFA policy was implemented to ease congestion during the peak Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow.
"So, if there are people who want to return, they can go instead on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of March," said Sigit.
Furthermore, Sigit stated that his team, along with other stakeholders, have prepared several strategies to deal with the homecoming flow today.
One of these is the implementation of the national one-way traffic engineering, which officially opens from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate at kilometer 414 to kilometer 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
On this occasion, Sigit asked the public to maintain security and safety. Therefore, travelers are encouraged to utilize all facilities provided by the government, whether at rest areas, service posts, or integrated posts.
"So, we certainly hope that exhausted travelers can rest and not overexert themselves," he said.
