In addition to ensuring the safety, security, and order of traffic, traffic police personnel went directly to the field to help extinguish the fire during the forest and land fire response on Mahir Mahar Road, Palangka Raya City, Monday (8/31/2026).

This action was carried out by all traffic police personnel on duty that day. Using the available equipment, the personnel moved closer to the fire and began extinguishing it.

This step was taken to expedite fire control and prevent the flames from spreading to surrounding areas.

The Director of Traffic Police of the Central Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Yusep Dwi Prastiya, commended the courage and dedication of the personnel who were directly involved in the forest and land fire response.

"I appreciate the enthusiasm of all our personnel who directly assisted in extinguishing the fires. This demonstrates the presence of the Traffic Police and their readiness to provide their best contribution in every situation. However, I emphasize that personnel safety remains a priority. Carry out your duties with discipline, maintain unity, and continue to work together with all elements involved," said Yusep, Tuesday (91/2026).

The presence of the Traffic Police during the handling of forest and land fires also demonstrates that the Indonesian National Police's spirit of service knows no bounds. With resilience, concern, and a humanitarian spirit, Traffic Police personnel are playing a role in protecting the community and the environment from the threat of fire.
