Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook post claiming that the Ministry of Finance (has launched a public assistance program offering Rp 50 million per family was officially exposed. 

The deceptive post falsely asserted that the cash payouts are being funded directly from Rp 13 trillion in assets recently confiscated from convicted corruptors.

A fact-checking investigation published by Kompas.com on Thursday (9/7/2026) revealed that no such public distribution policy exists. Legally confiscated state assets from corruption cases are strictly processed through the national treasury as non-tax state revenue or channeled into official state budgetary allocations, rather than being handed out directly via social media sign-up links.

The Finance Ministry issued a formal warning advising social media users to remain highly vigilant against fraudulent social media accounts impersonating state institutions or government officials. Authorities emphasized that the Ministry never coordinates official financial aid disbursements through unofficial digital channels or independent social media networks.
