inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Social Affairs has deployed all social pillars, including Family Hope Program (PKH) facilitators, Disaster Preparedness Youth (Tagana), and Youth Organizations (Karang Taruna), to oversee the distribution of aid to disaster victims in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf stated that the assistance is being carried out comprehensively to ensure that aid is targeted, in the right amount, and on time, from the receipt process, utilization, and reporting.
"We are asking social pillars to assist so that everything can be recorded. The disbursement must be accountable, as the Ministry of Social Affairs is audited by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). If the funds are not absorbed on time, they will be returned to the state treasury," explained Yusuf on Thursday (3/26/2026).
Regarding the realization of adaptive aid funds for disaster victims, Yusuf revealed that there is currently a remaining budget of approximately IDR 200 billion that is in the process of being disbursed. These funds are part of the total IDR 2 trillion budget allocated for disaster impact management.
So far, the Ministry of Social Affairs has verified the data of 75,000 beneficiary families (KPM) who are deemed valid and ready to receive the assistance. In addition, there are more than 270,000 individual beneficiaries who have been verified to receive the living security assistance.
"Around IDR 700 billion has been received by beneficiaries. The remaining IDR 200 billion is being processed, and hopefully, it will be received by the affected communities next week," said Yusuf.
Regarding the distribution mechanism, the Ministry of Social Affairs is collaborating with PT Pos Indonesia through three schemes: direct collection at post offices, community-based distribution at sub-district or village offices, and door-to-door delivery services specifically for people with disabilities and the elderly.
He emphasized that the involvement of village or sub-district offices is limited to providing the location, while the distribution process remains entirely handled by PT Pos officers.
