Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. Twelve officers from the South Sumatra Regional Police Operation Aman Nusa II  unit conducted forest and land fire prevention patrols across Cengal District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, on Tuesday (1/9/2026).

Operating under the Cengal Sub-regional Police Sub-task Force led by Second Inspector Jon Hery, officers stationed at corporate posts in Sungai Pasir and Pelimbangan villages carried out ground patrols, tower surveillance, and community outreach.

"Operations through Aman Nusa II Task Force continue to be stepped up in vulnerable areas across South Sumatra. Synergy and quick field action are crucial to prevent expanding fires and protect public safety," said South Sumatra Police Director of Samapta Senior Superintendent Ridwan.

Patrol results confirmed no active fires or burned lands in Cengal, with police maintaining readiness to safeguard the region.
