inp.polri.go.id - Southeast Sulawesi. The Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government expressed its appreciation for the Second Quarter Simultaneous Corn Harvest held by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police in the Labibia, Kendari City, on Saturday (5/16/2026).
This activity is part of its support for the national food security program launched by President Prabowo Subianto.
Governor Andi Sumangerukka expressed his appreciation to the police for their consistent effort in the sustainable food security program. He stated that the program not only supports food self-sufficiency but also has a positive impact on the community and farmer groups in the region.
"The results are extraordinary, and the quality of the corn harvested is also very good. Based on the reports submitted to me, the results for the second quarter are quite satisfactory," said Andi Sumangerukka.
He considered the police's involvement in managing the agricultural sector a good example of synergy between state institutions and the community. He hopes the program will continue to strengthen regional food security and improve the welfare of farmers in Southeast Sulawesi.
The main harvest location in Labibia covers approximately one hectare of land with an estimated yield of 3 tons of corn. Overall, the total agricultural land cultivated by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police covers 10.5 hectares, with an estimated total yield of 31.5 tons.
