Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police confirmed on Tuesday (24/3/2026) that a woman who attempted to take her own life near the Presidential Palace on Sunday is currently receiving intensive treatment at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).

"She was immediately attended to and has been undergoing medical and psychological evaluation at RSCM since the incident," said Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, as cited by antaranews.com

On-site police officers intervened after discovering the woman, identified by the initials JS, in possession of items intended for self-harm. Authorities initially brought her to the local police station to ensure her safety before transferring her to the hospital for professional psychiatric care. 

While social media footage suggested she may have been suffering from severe depression, police officials explained that the underlying cause remains unknown as they wait for a full medical report. The police continue to coordinate with hospital staff to provide the necessary support for her recovery.
