inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police confirmed an incident of vandalism on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR). In the incident, an online taxi driver went on a rampage and damaged another driver's car after an argument in the middle of the road.

The victim's dashcam footage shows the perpetrator's car overtaking the victim's vehicle. Shortly after, the car stopped at the side of the toll road, blocking the victim's vehicle.

The perpetrator then got out of the car, wearing a jacket and trousers. He approached the victim's vehicle, leading to an argument.

The perpetrator then allegedly swung a metal bar at the victim's rearview mirror. The mirror was repeatedly hit, breaking it.

Head of the Traffic Safety Unit of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate, Superintendent Reiki Indra Brata Manggala, stated that his team is still investigating the incident.

"That's correct, but the chronology is still under investigation," explained Reiki, Thursday (5/28/2026).

According to him, the identities of the victim and the perpetrator have not yet been confirmed, although the victim posted that he was at the police station.

"It's still under investigation," he said.
