inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. The implementation of Operation Ketupat Turangga 2026 within the jurisdiction of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police has achieved positive results in securing the homecoming and return travel flows, as well as the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri.

Under the leadership of NTT Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, public order and security in Bumi Flobamora remained safe, orderly, and conducive throughout the operation, which ran from March 13 to 19, 2026.

This success was due in no small part to the role of the Head of Operations of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Jhony Afrizal Sharifudin, who orchestrated a thorough security strategy.

According to Karendal Ops data, the number of traffic accidents decreased from 39 to 38, a 2.5 percent decrease. Furthermore, the crime rate also decreased from 305 to 300, a 1.64 percent decrease.

"This decrease demonstrates the effectiveness of the preventive and supervisory measures implemented during the operation," stated the official report.

Furthermore, personnel presence in the field was quite high, with 560 preemptive activities and 653 preventive activities implemented. Management of the homecoming flow also proceeded smoothly, both by sea with 19,589 passengers and by air, which was monitored as safe and controlled without significant disruption.

Through the Head of Public Relations of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, Rudi expressed his appreciation to all personnel and the public.

"The success of Operation Ketupat Turangga 2026 is a clear testament to the dedication and synergy of all parties. We are grateful that the number of accidents and crimes has been reduced, allowing the public to celebrate Eid al-Fitr safely and comfortably," he said.
